Chain Oil: RPL-CR100

Product Description:

The RPL-CR100 is a semi-synthetic, light viscosity ISO Grade 68-100 chain oil suitable for multi-purpose applications. It includes an additive that retards the evaporation rate to allow more time for a more complete coating and deeper penetration of larger chains. It is formulated using highly refined, hydro-treated paraffin base oils and synthetic PAO fluids providing excellent overall performance and a high viscosity index that will allow it to out-perform traditional chain oils.

RPL-CR100 is a non-oily fluid containing sub-micron Y-sized particles of molybdenum disulfide (MoS²) for extreme pressure and anti-wear protection. It penetrates to the inner sections of the chain and leaves the outer surfaces dry, especially the parts that are most subjected to wear including pins, bushings and rollers. The outer surfaces stay free of sticky coatings that attract and trap dirt, grit, powders and other contaminants.

The RPL-CR100 has a unique additive system that ensures long lubricant life, elimination of rust and corrosion and maximum chain cleanliness. It cuts through pre-existing rust to restore free movement in otherwise undamaged chains. It is effective in both fresh and salt-water environments and can be applied by brush, bath or automatic systems.

Method of Application:

No special precautions are required. RPL-CR100 chain oil may be applied using mechanical and manual lube systems, is fully compatible with other lubricants and lubricating systems, and will reduce lubricant usage to a minimum while still offering superior protection and a long-lasting film of exceptional tenacity.

Did you know?

The majority of chains fail from the inside. They stretch or kink due to wear and corrosion inside the pin and bushing area.

To lubricate effectively, chain oils must be carefully engineered to penetrate and clean the inside of the chain,  removing contaminants and any trapped water, and leaving behind a heavy film of oil, grease or solid lubricant..
